Holly Mary temple in Theriso

In theriso , located at the square of the village and under a huge plane tree stands the church of Holly Mary. At this site there is also the tomb of Stefanos Halis , who is a hero for Crete that fought during the1820-1822 and died for Crete at the battle of Aliakes on the 25 th of July, 1822.
